Iridescence?

Iridescence in plants is an optical phenomenon in which certain parts of plants, such as leaves or petals, appear to change color depending on the angle of light and observation. Unlike colors produced by pigments, iridescence results from the microscopic structure of plant surfaces, which diffracts light like a prism or a CD. This phenomenon is found in certain ferns and orchids.

This property could have ecological functions, such as attracting pollinators or protecting the plant from excess light.
